In 1996 Jeroen Hermkens was awarded the graphic art prize for his lithographs in the Netherlands. His paintings and lithographs are regularly on display both at home and abroad. He has held exhibitions in Vienna, New York, New Orleans and Bruges. In the Netherlands his work has been exhibited at the Museum De Buitenplaats in Eelde, the Rijswijk Museum, and the Central Museum in Utrecht. In March 1999 a highly representative selection of his work was exhibited at the Singer Museum in Laren. In july of 2000 his work was exhibited in Flehite Museum in Amersfoort; in 2002 in Slot Zeist. In the summer of 2004 he had an exposition with paintings, lithographs and drawings in France at Musée Departemental de l'Oise, Beauvais. In 2000 CNN broadcasted worldwide a film about his work. After been elected "Artist of the year 2006" he had an exposition in Museum Jan van de Togt, Amstelveen, 2008.
